Dragon Hatchling Illustration

This piece was inspired by a recent art contest. The prompt for the contest was to create a painting based on the moment a baby dragon hatches, and here I wanted a very close-up scene in the dragon's nest. I wanted this hatchling to seem like a baby bird, something very helpless and kind of goofy-looking. Of course, Mama Dragon is right there very pleased with her baby, even if it's screaming.
